My name is Barbara. I was born in 1997, I’m an Aquarius, Brazilian, and I currently live in Australia.

I would like to welcome you to my blog, Letters to You. Here, I share letters and reflections where I talk about my everyday life and the lessons I’ve learned throughout my 29 years. I love photography and I also write poetry, which I would love to share with you.

First of all, I want to make it clear that all the writing on this blog is created organically and entirely by me (no AI involved, except for grammatical corrections). These texts are reflections inspired by books I read, happy and sad moments I’ve lived, racing thoughts, and experiences that have shaped my journey. I love traveling, reading, and dancing (as any good Brazilian does).

I don’t know if there’s anyone reading this right now, but this blog was born in my mind many years ago. I’ve always loved reading blogs, but I never had the courage to bring this dream to life. Lately, I’ve been going through the closing of many cycles, and I thought to myself: why not take this dream out of my imagination?

I lived in Brazil for 24 years, then spent 3 years in California, USA — a deeply transformative experience where I connected more with art and met people who shaped the way I want to live my life. I’ve also been going through a career transition that has lasted about three years. Now, I’m in Australia, beginning yet another chapter of my life.

This blog — just like me — has no social media, and I intend to keep it that way for now. Maybe I’ll change my mind someday (which says a lot about me: I love changing my mind). I want this space to be a moment where you can disconnect and reflect, even though I know social media could help me reach more people.

In the end, what I want you to know is that I — like most people — still don’t fully know why I’m on this planet. But my wish is that, for a few minutes, you can disconnect from everything happening around you and reconnect with yourself through my art.
